Reading 2012

Following are the books I've read this year, beginning January 1, all cover-to-cover unless noted. Those might be reference books or DNFs - Did Not Finish - books whose call to "read me" kept getting fainter or fainter, or that I simply didn't like or decided weren't worth it. I figure that tells something about me, too! This year, I'll be posting them in reverse chronological order, so you can always see what I currently have my nose in.

Arabian Nights & Days, Naguib Mahfouz
Things Fall Apart, Chinua Acheebe
The Cement Garden, Ian McEwan
Cry, the Beloved Country, Alan Paton
Spain, Lonely Planet (ref)
Our Kind of Traitor, John LeCarre
A Passage to India, E.M. Forster
On the Road, Jack Kerouac
The Stories of John Cheever, John Cheever
Anarchy and Old Dogs, Colin Cotterill
Western Europe, Lonely Planet (ref)
Africa on a Shoestring, Lonely Planet (ref)
Morocco, Lonely Planet (ref)
